Abstract: Objectives: To evaluate the association between serum concentrations of complement factor-3 with anthropometric measurements, lipid profile (total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein HDL, low density lipoprotein LDL, very low density lipoprotein VLDL), and lifestyle features in healthy young Kurdish adults. Materials and methods: C 3 and ceruloplasmin is determined by Immunoturbidemetric assay, serum lipid profile, blood glucose, uric acid and total protein determined by colorometric methods, body mass index (BMI) measurements were also done. Results: Significantly positive correlation found in between C3 levels and LDL. Significant differences in means are found in the level of C3 and ceruloplasmin in smokers and non-smokers. Conclusion: Serum level of LDL may be independent predictor for C3 level and ceruloplasmin and C3 might constitute a risk factor of developing atherosclerosis or cardiovascular disease in smokers.

Abstract: Safe water is a precondition for health and development and a basic human right, yet it is still denied to hundreds of millions of people throughout the developing world. Water related diseases caused by insufficient safe water supplies. Despite continuing efforts by governments, civil society and the international community, over a billion people still do not have access to improved water sources. Water samples collected from different areas of Quetta and different brands of mineral water samples were collected from market in Quetta district. Results showed that turbidity condition in point 1 was worse while other points had turbidity values within WHO guideline values.

Title: Comparison of Calcite (CaCO3) and Clay (Illite/Kaolinite) Toward the Influence of Maturation and Organic Material Potential for Processing of Oil Shale Material

Abstract: To heat shale material on certain temperature can alter its organic compound and change it physically and chamically which then can produce energy resources such as oil and gas. Researcher has sucessfully conducted a synthesis on shale material using illite and calcite as the basis. The outcome shows that those materials are acted suitably as oil shale. SEM and XRD analysis outcome show that both shale materials have small pores because the pores cavity evenly filled by organic material, accumulated and bound strongly with illite, kaolinite or calcite, and other materials in small percentage. Moreover, the temperature to change shale material into crude oil (Tmax) on both materials is well-suited to oil shale, i.e. 421OC-453OC. Tmax of carbonate- organic (400OC-450OC) is higher than clay-organic (325OC-430OC). The formation of gas on carbonate-organic (T-over=750OC-1000OC) is higher than clay-organic (T-over=650OC-900OC). The outcome of TGA and Pyrolysis analysis also show similarity, i.e., all three materials have maximum maturation level on 322OC, 323OC, and 493OC, indicating different thermal maturation level in which carbonate shale needs higher temperature and longer time than clay shale. Outcome of pyrolysis suggests clay-organic hydrocarbon has a better potential (PY=605,06-652,45 mg/g and TOC=19,94-34,38%) than carbonate-organic (PY=164,53 mg/g and TOC=9,14%). Combination between Hydrogen Index (HI) and Tmax shows clay-organic taking role as oil shale that more likely potential to be oil and gas, while carbonate-organic is not a perfect oil shale yet.

Abstract: This article deals with the understanding of creativity as an expression of human talent to innovation processes in technology-based companies, resulting from analyzes obtained through a study conducted in a technology-based company headquartered in the city of São José, Santa Catarina state, Brazil. The research was based on the topics of Creativity and Innovation, Organizational Knowledge, Knowledge Management, and Technology-Based Organizations, allowing better visualization of the elements inherent in the creative process in technology-based companies. In order to have a view of the perception of actors, relationships, potential, limits, among other things, semi-structured interviews were performed with employees who work directly in the departments of Research & Development (R&D). This study falls within the category of a case study with a qualitative approach, through means of bibliographic and field research, and followed up as an exploratory and descriptive study. Data analysis was performed through content analysis on a categorical non a priori system in which each category was created as it was mentioned in the speech of interviewees. It is important to highlight that central ideas were synthesized in order to enable the analysis of each participant impersonally, ultimately generating collective understanding on the approached topic. From the observation of perceptions in the interviews, it is possible to conclude that it is necessary to add spaces for processes of sharing, propagation, and use of knowledge in the company.

Abstract: An analysis on how technological solutions of digital intelligence assist in gathering ideas and in organizational learning of companies. Presents a list of recommendations for managers on strategies that lead to a cycle of institutionalization of cultural change, allowing continuous adjustment of the establishments to the particularities of the business environments in which they are immersed. The research applied a qualitative approach, preceded by a literature review and a case study on one of the most effective platforms of digital intelligence, recognized as an innovator in the markets in which it is prospected. The theoretical contribution emphasized the organizational learning process, highlighting ICTs applied concretely to this context. The research was conducted with knowledge located at the organizational level, though it detected the impact on the current business culture on the knowledge located at the individual level. The results showed that the ICTs serve as tools for assisted production of knowledge and that such knowledges, when turned into strategies, trigger organizational learning, sparking a cultural change on the company, adjusting the latter to the business environment in which it is inserted.

Abstract: MonRAt is a telescope designed to detect photons generated in the atmosphere by ultra-high energy cosmic ray particles. It is composed by a parabolic mirror focusing light onto a 64-pixels multianodic photomultiplier tube. Ultraviolet-passing filters are positioned in front of the photocathode to select photons within the wavelength range of 300 and 400 nm. The data acquisition system consists of a front-end, a set of preamplifiers and FPGA-based boards able to record trigger times and waveforms from each channel. MonRAt is being designed to detect air fluorescence radiation under different atmospheric and geomagnetic conditions. Also planned are Cherenkov radiation measurements as well as atmospheric monitoring in the lidar mode.

Title: Propagation of Kefir in Various Sugar Media

Abstract: Kefir fermentation in various sugar media were studied, Lactose as a manufacture sugar and Molasses as a natural sugar. The results indicates there was an exponential correlation between fermentation of lactose and the increase of temperature, fermentation was increased at 35°C and decreased at 40°C . also found fermentation Lactose more than Molasses. sugar concentration and media acidity were found as a function of fermentation. The propagation of Kefir in M E M and sugar media also studied and found that in M E M and Lactose more than M E M and Molasses and these more than only M E M , as well as propagation was found in 6th dilution greater than in 5th dilution.
