Title: The Evolution of Pair UGC 9425 Galaxy System
Author(s): Mariwan A. Rasheed
Pages: 1-3 Paper ID:154004-9292-IJBAS-IJENS Published: August, 2015
Abstract: In this research paper the components of the pair UGC 9425 galaxy system are simulated for studying the stages of the system evolution of the system. The simulation shows that the system is formed as a result of the interaction of the two galaxies. The snapshot of the simulation at 200 Myrs matches the image of the system observed by telescope. The Intergalactic Gravitational Motion Simulator IGMS code is used in the simulation.

Pages: 4-8 Paper ID:150904-8383-IJBAS-IJENS Published: August, 2015
Abstract: The Walnut Shell WNS powder has been investigated as a low cost solid adsorbent used for the removal of the hazardous Crystal Violet (CV) from aqueous solutions. In batch system, optimization of operation variables: equilibrium time, working temperature and the initial pH of the dye solution. The percentage removal was found to be at maximum in basic medium. The adsorption process was reached in equilibrium within 400 minutes. Kinetic studies showed that the adsorption rates were more accurately represented by a pseudo second-order model and the sorption isotherm well fitted to the Freundlich isotherm model.
Keywords: Adsorption, crystal violet, pseudo second-order model, Walnut shell.

Abstract: Regression analysis is used to learn about the relationship pattern in dependent variable and independent variable. There are two approaches that used in that method, such as: Parametric and Nonparametric. The parametric approach is the most common way to get the value. It has to assume the form of a model to follow a certain pattern. Nonparametric approach is used while there is no specific pattern about the shape of the regression function. There are many methods to estimate the nonparametric regression curve, such as: Truncated Spline and Fourier series. Truncated Spline is able to describe the changing in the behavior pattern of the function at a particular subintervals and Fourier series is better used to describe a recurring pattern curve. The purpose of this study was to compare Truncated Spline and Fourier series in the model of poverty in Papua. Papua is the poorest province in Indonesia. The result of this study shows that Truncated Spline is better than Fourier series with the GCV (16.70) and R2 (98.46%).

Abstract: Microalgae are potential biomass to be used as a biofuel raw material. The microalgae used are high in fat and carbohydrates as a biofuel candidate. The environment and species of microalgae determine the growth and content of microalgae. The purpose of this research is to utilize waste know as tofu for the growth of microalgae cultivation and raw materials for biodiesel. The method used is the cultivation of microalgae to the concentration of tofu waste 1ml / 1L saltwater as a medium to grow microalgae, then harvesting performed, followed by drying, smoothing and flour. Microalgae extracted with soxletase method to determine its crude oil content, GC-MS used to determine the free fatty acids and production of biodiesel, the biodiesel characterization is an initial study. The results suggest that oil content is 8.6% / dry weight microalgae for tofu cultivation and 2.5% walne fertilizer. Fatty acid composition of microalgae Tetraselmis sp are palmitic acid (C16: 0), stearic acid (C18: 0) and oleic acid (C18: 1), characterization of biodiesel produced to the acid number of 4.14 mg KOH / g, viscosity of 2, 6 g / cm3 and the density 2,6cSt.
Keywords: Tofu waste, media, cultivation, microalgae, biodiesel.
